Joe Lackner's concept

I've simplified and refined the mark, started throwing in some color (staying within the purple theme that Microsoft introduced) and some icon prototypes. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these revisions for another pass...

I don't know if this is tacky, but have you tried giving the K bit some perspective so it goes behind the I? Something along these lines:

I think this logo basically just needed to be simplified at tad bit. The logo part of it is all that we really need and should be advertised as such.
